Chatteris teenagers were given a taste of the Big Apple during a visit to America. Teachers and Year 11 pupils from Cromwell Community College braved five freezing cold days in New York when temperatures hit -17C.
More than 80 pupils enjoyed meals at New York’s most famous restaurants, along with shopping on 5th Avenue and at Macy’s.
They visited the World Trade Centre, Liberty Island, Grand Central Station, Times Square, along with experiencing night views from the Empire State Building.
They also enjoyed a three-hour Circle Line River Cruise, along with snow balling in Central Park.
The staff would like to congratulate the students for their perseverance in the extreme cold weather conditions and excellent behaviour representing the school overseas.
A big thank you went to the staff who gave up their half-term taking care of Year 11. Cromwell Community College pupils and staff are pictured braving the snow PICTURE: SUPPLIED
