Club appeals for return of 'beloved cast iron roller' stolen from a Fenland village




A model flying club has been left 'flabbergasted' after thieves made off with their agricultural cast iron roller.

Posting on a local Facebook page the King's Lynn Aero Model Club are appealing for help in the return of the roller, which was stolen from Station Meadow Flying Field in Station Road, Emneth overnight on Tuesday/Wednesday.

A member wrote: "Could only be lifted by a power assisted hoist on a lorry. Please contact King's Lynn Aero Model Club if you have seen or have knowledge of our beloved cast iron roller that we have used for the past 30 years.

"Photo taken a couple years ago before we moved to Emneth but quite clearly shows how large and heavy the roller is. Not for the ordinary car boot!

"We remain flabbergasted at the actions of these professional thieving rats."
