Chatteris college brews up a £367 boost for Macmillan




Students and staff at the Cromwell Community College in Chatteris are celebrating a very successful coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The college’s event was part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning effort and raised a total of £367.211 for the cancer charity.

Cromwell learning resources manager, Mrs Jackie Harding, said: “It was a very successful morning.

“It was the first time I have opened the library up for acharity event. Coun Linda Ashley, Chatteris Mayor, attended along with parents, carers and residents of Swan House at Chatteris.

“I was overwhelmed with the amount of cakes donated by the pupils and families at Cromwell and I would like to express my thanks to them.

“Pupils from Year 9 and the Sixth Form helped on the day.”
