WISBECH Salvation Army Captain Rob Smart and his wife Violet have left after serving the town for more than five years.
The couple have retired and have moved to North Wales.
A farewell presentation was made to the Smarts during their last Sunday service.
Clare Kinsey, the youth worker, made one presentation handing the couple vouchers to buy items for their new home. And the congregation presented a large bouquet of flowers.
The service was followed with tea and a special cake made by the Smart’s daughter and decorated with a handpainted picture of the couple.
Territorial Envoys Russell and Alison Day, who are currently officers at Cottenham, are due to be installed as the new officers in charge at Wisbech on Sunday (July 29).
