Coronavirus: Ten more deaths recorded at King's Lynn hospital

The deaths of 10 more patients who had tested positive for coronavirus at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital have been confirmed today.

Figures released by NHS England this afternoon show there have now been 83 virus-related deaths at the hospital since the outbreak began last month.

Chief executive Caroline Shaw said: “We can confirm today that a further ten patients – nine men and a woman aged between 62 and 90 – who had tested positive for COVID-19 have sadly died while being cared for at our hospital.

"On behalf of the Trust, I would like to offer condolences to their families and loved ones at this difficult time.”

The data shows four deaths on Friday and three on Thursday. None have so far been recorded for yesterday.
