Coronavirus: Two new deaths confirmed at King's Lynn hospital

Two more deaths related to coronavirus have been recorded at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital, according to the latest data.

Today's figures from NHS England show that 123 people are now known to have died after testing positive for the virus at the hospital.

The most recent death recorded so far was on Friday, with a further case now shown from Thursday.

QEH chief executive Caroline Shaw said: “I can confirm a further two patients have died after testing positive for COVID-19 – a woman in her 60s and a man in his 80s.

"On behalf of the Trust, I would like to offer my condolences to their relatives and loved ones.”

Earlier today, the hospital revealed that the number of patients that have been discharged after contracting the infection has now increased to 193.

Officials say there have now been a total of 379 cases of the virus at the QEH.
