Creative Reuse Centre opens in March

The new Creative Reuse Centre in Commercial Road was officially opened on Monday by MP Steve Barclay.

It was a triple anniversary celebration, with the National Community RePaint Scheme, sponsored by Dulux, celebrating 20 years, CCORN celebrating 10 years and the Cambridgeshire Community RePaint scheme is now three years old.

The Community Repaint scheme is run by a small team of staff and volunteers who collect, sort, test and redistribute low cost paint under contract to AmeyCespa on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council.

The new Creative Reuse Centre will also house Bits and Bobs Scrapstore which diverts clean reusable scrap waste materials from businesses and individuals for members to use creatively in arts, crafts and play activities.

Membership is available to everyone and the new Creative Reuse Centre is open six days a week Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
