Attempted robbery in March

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery in March.

The victim was grabbed by two men as he walked along Robingoodfellow’s Lane at about 6.45pm on Saturday (February 26).

They grabbed the 37-year-old and demanded money. He managed to struggle free and ran off.

His jacket was ripped in the incident.

One of the men was white and described as being of medium build, 5’11”, in his mid to late 20s, clean shaven with dark hair. He was wearing a black, shiny bomber-style jacket and white trainers.

The other man was described as white, 5’9”, of medium build, aged 20 to 30. He was wearing a mustard-coloured hooded top.

Detective Constable Jon Edwards, investigating, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim who managed to fight off the two men.

“I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened or has any information to call police.”
