Cambridgeshire police are taking part in a national campaign to target drink drivers.
The ‘Think’ Spring drink drive campaign launched on Friday and will run throughout March.
PC Steve Gedney, Casualty Reduction Officer, said: “This campaign is part of ongoing work to target those people who think it’s acceptable to drink and drive.
“Driving under the influence is a criminal offence for which you will be processed in the same way as any other criminal.
“The consequences of driving under the influence are a fine of up to £5,000, a minimum 12 month driving ban and a criminal record. Not to forget the possible fatal consequences if you are involved in a collision.
“How much will your next round cost you? Think – don’t drink and drive.”
The drink drive campaign is being supported by a national advertising campaign which includes radio, digital display advertising and washroom panels and bar mats in pubs, clubs and bars.
