Cigarettes stolen

POLICE are appealing for information after burglars broke into a store in Chatteris.

Offenders forced their way into the Nisa store, in Park Street, between 7am and 7.15am, on Saturday, January 21. They broke in via the back door, went behind the counter and stole a number of packets of cigarettes.

Civilian Investigator Lesley York, investigating, said: “The offenders stole thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes and headed towards Station Road with a large white bag.”
