Equipment damaged during break-in

POLICE are appealing for information after a cricket shed was broken into.

Offenders forced their way into the storage unit at the Wisbech Cricket and Hockey Pavilion club house in Harecroft Road, between 4pm on Friday (January 27) and 7am the following day.

The dragged a tractor and grass cutting equipment out of the shed, but abandoned it in a ditch after it failed to start.

Other equipment was damaged during the incident.

PC Carl Stoppard, investigating, said: “The offenders caused quite a bit of damage to the equipment stored in the shed and I would urge anyone with any information to call police.”

Anyone with any information should call PC Stoppard on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555-111.
