A man previously arrested on suspicion of murdering Wisbech pensioner Una Crown who answered his bail yesterday (Tuesday) has been rebailed by police.
The 58-year-old man was originally arrested on January 31 when he was rebailed until yesterday. He was at the police station overnight where he was questioned before being released on bail again today. He is now due to return to the police station on July 2.
The body of Mrs Crown was discovered at her home in Magazine Lane on Sunday January 13.
The vicious killing, which saw the pensioner, who was in her 80s, stabbed several times before her body was set on fire, was featured in a BBC Crimewatch programme at the end of April.
Police said there were a number of ‘interesting’ new leads as a result, but they are still appealing for more information.
