Cuban influence on day of prayer in March
The annual service for the Women’s World Day of Prayer will take place in March this Friday.
It will be held at the town’s Trinity Methodist/United Reformed Church in High Street, commencing at 10.30am.
The service will be led by Mrs Sarah Eastol, assisted by Rev Sue Sowden and Debbie Goddard, with the Gospel Choir.
Representatives from various denominations within the town will be taking part.
This year’s service has been prepared by the Christian women of Cuba, and their theme is “Receive children, receive me.”
You are asked if possible to bring a small posy of white flowers to place on the Communion table.
World Day of Prayer is a global, ecumenical movement of Christian women joined together to observe a common day of prayer each year on the first Friday of March.
