Difficult driving conditions see numerous early morning collisions in Peterborough and the Fens

Police have said wet roads and a sun low in the sky have caused a number of collisions in our region this morning.

Officers were called at 7.20am to a two vehicle collision at Orton Centre roundabout involving an HGV and a Peugeot 207.

An ambulance was called but no serious injuries are reported.

In the Fens police report four collisions in the space of an hour.

The most serious was at Chatteris on the A141 close to the roundabout where Chatteris Road and Fenland Way meet.

Officers were called at 7:35am to a crash between two lorries.

Neither driver was hurt.
