KEEN gardeners in the Wisbech area can start digging for glory as the Citizen promotes the popular annual Garden Competition in conjunction with Wisbech in Bloom.
There are a whole range of categories for all sizes of garden, in and out of town, wildlife, water gardens and even an award for brightening up an area.
The competition is part of Wisbech in Bloom’s entry into the prestigious Anglia in Bloom - a competition in which the town has scooped several awards.
We need your entries now as the deadline is Wednesday June 27 at 5pm. The judges will be out and about the following week after sorting out the categories and routes.
The winners will be revealed at the usual awards evening later in the year and more details of this special night will be given nearer the time.
To enter: Send into the Citizen office at 11 Union Street, Wisbech, PE13 1DN a photograph of your garden.
Please remember to write your name, address, a telephone number and the category you are entering on the back of the photograph. Mark your entry Wisbech Garden Competition.

Some of the entries may be featured in the Citizen during the competition but all the entries will be passed to the judges.
Large gardens are 200 sqm plus and small gardens are less than 200 sqm.
There will be certificates and highly commended awards presented and the silver spade will be awarded for the garden judged the overall winner.
Out of town gardens must be within a six mile radius of Wisbech town centre.
Nominations are also being sought for the Octavia Hill Award for ‘brightening up a drab area’. This should be public or community area.
