Police are appealing for witnesses after a Peogeot 206 and a Honda CRV collided on Benwick Road at 3.30pm.

Two fire crews and a rescue vehicle were called and firefighters released a woman who was trapped in the Honda, which was on its side.

She was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with minor injuries. The road was closed until 5pm while the vehicles were recovered.
