Dog day afternoon

SATURDAY (June 9) sees an opportunity for owners of all type of Molosser dogs to show off their pet at a special fun day.

The event, run by the Neapolitan Mastiff Club, is being held at the Rayvonley Kennels at Rhosaf House, Middle Drove, St Johns Fen End, Wisbech from 11am (gates open at 9am).

There will be a host of classes for all Molosser breeds such as Bullmastiffs, Dogue de Bordeaux, Great Danes, St Bernards and Rottweilers.

Judges for the day are Molosser expert Dr George Zadeh of the famous Faynad Kennels who will be looking at the male dogs. For the girls the judge is Mrs Auri Lepper from Finland of the Royal Seeds Kennel. There will also be mixed breed novelty classes.

Entries are £1 per dog per class which are payable on the day. Admission is £2 adults and 50p children. Rosettes will be awarded for 1st to 5th place and there will be special trophies and certificates for winners.
