You can help to make Christmas special this year for struggling Fenland families by donating a toy or gift to our Santa’s Suitcase Christmas Toy Appeal.
The appeal was launched last week in conjunction with the Anglia Co-operative Travel branch in Wisbech and the town’s Salvation Army.
Drop off points are the Citizen office at 11 Union Street, Wisbech; Anglia Co-operative Travel inside the Beales store at Church Terrace, and new collection points this year in the March area are the Co-operative Store at Badgeney Road and Boyes, of Station Road, have both agreed to take your toy donations.
We are looking for books, gift sets, toys, puzzles - anything suitable for boys and girls from babies to 18 years. Unfortunately, we cannot accept second-hand toys or knitted toys.
The last date for gifts to be dropped off is December 13 when the Salvation Army will be collecting all the toys ready to distribute them to families in need working in conjunction with local social services.
