ENTERPRISING pupils from Glebelands Primary School in Chatteris have handed over a cheque for £236.94 to RSPCA Block Fen.

The money was raised by the school back in the summer and was presented in Monday morning’s assembly.

The fundraising events were organised single-handedly by the school council, who had wanted to put on an event to raise money for their chosen charity.

So pupils set up two discos – one for the Key Stage 1 pupils and one for Key Stage 2 – and charged for entry. The school council organised everything, even down to getting a DJ.
