Members of Downham Market and District Heritage Society enjoyed showing their plans to create a heritage centre in the former fire station to Liz Truss MP.

Last week, the society was informed it had received an additional £60,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Work will begin on the £650,000 project at the end of this month to transform the building into a heritage and learning centre.
