Generous youngsters from a Downham school have collected donations for the Food Bank during their harvest festival.

Youngsters from Nelson Academy enjoyed their harvest festival at Downham Methodist Church on October 15.

Parents and friends enjoyed watching children sing a variety of harvest songs during the two services, which were held for key stage 1 and 2 pupils.

Teacher Rachel Taylor said: “Our harvest festival services happen every year for all children within the school. It offers an opportunity for children to join together at the local methodist church, make meaningful links with the local community and provides a valuable donation to the local food bank.” PICTURE: SUPPLIED
