A stray dog which was captured last week has escaped from kennels in Wisbech.
Volunteers with Ravenswood Pet Rescue were devastated this morning (Tuesday, May 5) to discover that Drifter, a two-year-old male Saluki, was once more on the loose.
The dog had forced his way out of galvanised panels to create a small hole.
He has returned to his route between Wisbech and Wisbech St Mary. Traps have been placed in a bid to capture the canine escape artist again.
People in the area have been advised not to feed Drifter.
Foster carer Shelley Ridgeon said: “We are devastated. He was doing so well.
“The hole is so small I think you would get a rabbit out of it.”
