Police issue parking tickets near Burrowmoor School in March after residents raised concerns

Police have taken action over illegal parking near a school in March.

Yesterday, officers spent some time patrolling the area near Burrowmoor School in response to residents’ concerns about illegal parking, particularly around the primary school at drop-off and pick-up times.

Three tickets were issued on this occasion for parking on a single yellow line during the hours of operation.

A spokesperson for the police said: “You may think that parking is a trivial and low-level issue, but illegal parking can put pedestrians and other road users at risk, especially the school children.

“We will continue these patrols when we can. We can’t be everywhere, but we could be anywhere.”
