March’s Neale-Wade Academy supported the recent RSPCA week by holding a pet food collection and selling RSPCA merchandise.
All collections went to the centre at Block Fen in Wimblington. The centre relies on public donations and receives no government funding so donations are vital to keep the centre running.
The winning Year 8 form who donated the most food will enjoy a visit to the centre later in the term. Nearly £100 was raised selling merchandise over lunchtimes. Kirstyn from Block Fen who collected the donations was overwhelmed with the students generosity and said it is great to raise awareness of the centre and for a local school to help a local charity.
