Anyone interested in standing at any of the elections in Fenland on May 7, or acting as an agent for them, is being invited to attend two special briefings being held later this month.

Elections taking place in Fenland in May will be to find an MP for the North East Cambridgeshire constituency, 39 councillors for Fenland District Council (where contested) and 157 councillors for the 16 town and parish councils (where contested).

The first briefing, aimed at potential candidates or agents in the North East Cambridgeshire Parliamentary election, is on Tuesday, February 24.

The second, for people involved in the district, town or parish elections, follows on Wednesday, February 25.

Both briefings will start at 6:30pm in the council chamber at Fenland Hall, County Road, March.

Please contact the council’s elections team if you have any questions or to confirm your attendance at these briefings by calling 01354 622383.

Alternatively you can email the team at: elections@fenland.gov.uk
