A Fenland church is opening up its doors to villagers for a social session.

All Saints’ Church in Elm is hoping to attract residents of all ages to its monthly drop-in sessions. Up to eight people went along to the last drop-in, which was held on Friday, January 29, when youngsters enjoyed playing games and the adults had a chat. The sessions, which are held on the last Friday of each month, are organised by Jane Feaviour-Clarke. She said: “It is like an after-school club and is open to anyone who wants to come along for a chat and we provide snacks. “Some people bring along their knitting, it’s a general social thing. “We are hoping to attract more people to use the church. “There would be a warm welcome for anyone who would like to join us.” The next session will be held on Friday, February 2, from 3.15pm to 4.15pm.
