BANK Holidays are busy times for people doing a spot of DIY and those having a clear out so to help, recycling centres will be open this weekend to take bulky rubbish and recycling.

The Cambs County Council’s nine recycling centres will all be open on the Bank Holiday Monday at their normal Sunday opening times.

Gifford Lewis, Head of Waste at the County Council’s Recycling Team said: “If you’re planning to have a clear out this weekend or tackle some DIY task, don’t forget your local recycling centre accepts a huge range of items for recycling including plasterboard, timber, garden waste, cardboard, metal, and hardcore as well as more commonplace materials such as glass bottles and metal cans.

“To make your visit even easier, separate your waste into different types before you visit your local centre.”
