A FRESH plan has been submitted to Fenland Council by Waste Recycling Group for two wind turbines at the Hundred Road landfill site at March.
The original application submitted to the council last year prompted concerns which included the impact of the turbines on the landscape.
In light of this, WRG decided to re-consult on the proposal and held another public exhibition.y
The re-submission of the application follows a detailed Environmental Report of the sites suitability for a wind energy project.
This includes potential effects during construction, operation and decommissioning of the turbines and visual impact.
The planning documents, including photomontages which show what the proposed development would look like, can be seen at Fenland Hall and March Library or at www.fenland.gov.uk
Mike Snell, Head of External Affairs at WRG, said the studies show the proposed project will “not result in any unacceptable impacts on the local environment” and that the council’s concerns have been “carefully addressed.”
