GCSE results: University Academy Long Sutton celebrate impressive year
A school has celebrated the ‘exceptional achievements’ of pupils who received their GCSE results.
University Academy Long Sutton (UALS) says there has been some ‘impressive outcomes’ in this year’s batch of results particularly in art, maths, sociology and statistics.
Principal Liam Davé said this year’s results were a ‘a testament to the hard work and dedication displayed by pupils’.
A statement from the school said: “We are delighted that this commitment has truly paid dividends during the summer of 2025!
“This year’s results have showcased impressive outcomes across various subjects, with notable achievements in art, mathematics, sociology, and statistics leading the way.
“We are particularly proud of the fantastic improvements exhibited by our pupils in subjects such as Cconstruction, English, engineering, history and science. These accomplishments not only reflect the rigorous academic standards upheld at UALS but also the resilience and perseverance of our pupils in their quest for knowledge and determination to succeed.
“Perhaps the most gratifying element of this year’s results is the realisation that our pupils are leaving UALS well-prepared to embark on the next steps of their educational journeys.”
Youngsters will be moving onto A-levels, T-level qualifications and apprenticeships.
Mr Davé said: “At UALS, we recognise that these achievements are the culmination of a collaborative effort. I must thank the dedicated staff at UALS, whose unwavering commitment and tireless efforts have made a significant impact on our pupils’ educational experiences.
“We are also immensely grateful to the parents and carers who have supported our pupils throughout their academic journeys. Your involvement, particularly in bringing and collecting your children to and from after-school and Easter revision classes, has been instrumental in fostering a culture of diligence and achievement.
“We must also acknowledge the unwavering support of our trustees and governors, whose guidance has been vital in maintaining the high standards we strive to achieve. Their commitment to the continuous improvement of our academy is sincerely appreciated.
“Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to extend our best wishes to our pupils as they embark on their future endeavours. May they always remember the importance of hard work and perseverance as they navigate their pathways ahead.
“Looking ahead, we are excited about the opportunities that the forthcoming academic year will present. Anticipation is building as we prepare to move into our new buildings in the spring term, which we believe will enhance our pupils’ learning experiences and generate an even more vibrant academy atmosphere at UALS.”
