FASHION students at a Fenland college wowed audiences when they show-cased their collections over three days.
The would-be fashionistas spent the last nine months coming up with their own creative collections and this year’s graduates made a real splash on the catwalk with final collections, aimed at the contemporary fashion market.
The collections included everything from country wear classics and winter woollens, to silk dresses and historically inspired embellished bodices.
In addition a number of competitions were held throughout the week including:
Fashion Challenge Competition for local school pupils sponsored by Topstitch of Wisbech and Aim higher.
Entrants were asked to design an outfit appropriate to be worn at Ladies Day, Royal Ascot with the winning design being modelled during the fashion show, which was won by Grace Threlfall (13) of The Kings School.
The Furniture/3D Challenge Competition sponsored by Aim higher saw entrants design a clock to celebrate the royal wedding and the winning display by Hannah Williamson (14) Reepham High School, was displayed. Second prize went to Scott Emmins (13) of Peele Community College. The Peele also won the £100 school prize.
