March father and son team reach new heights
A father and son team who reached the summit of Africa’s tallest mountain despite one of them losing their sight on the climb have reached new heights.
Chris Hodson, and his son David, completed the climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in spring 2023 despite Chris suffering altitude sickness which gave him temporary sight loss.
The pair reached the top with Chris barely able to see – thankfully as they made their descent Chris’ sight began to return and was eventually fully restored.
Now Chris and David have hit new personal heights.
David has just attained his Master’s Degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution at the University of King’s College in London and graduated at a ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall at the end of last month.
David is currently a managing surveyor for the construction company Morgan Sindall, who sponsored his two year’s of study for the master’s.
In the meantime, Chris has also achieved a new high have been elected as president of March Golf Club. He will hold the post for the next three years.
Chris has previously been the club’s captain in 2010.
