A Fenland firm will be helping to repair a building which ravaged in an arson attack earlier this year.

EMR Renders and Wallcoating will be transforming the damaged building at Westwood Junior School.

Arsonists set fire to a shed at the school on March 2 which contained equipment from the popular March Soccer School.

Around £2,000 worth of items including line markers, goals, pitch barriers, corner flags and balls were destroyed in the blaze.

But in the days after the fire, people across the town rallied around to support the club with donations flooding in.

Owner of EMR Steve Clark said his firm will be taking off the old render and adding a new one at a cost price. The work will be undertaken in June.

Mr Clark said: “We would like to give something back to help the community.

“When something bad happens like this, it is nice to be able to help put it right.”

The business has been running for four years and employs nine people.
