Fenland is brewing up a storm for Macmillan

People across Fenland will be brewing up a storm later this week to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Homes, businesses and village halls will be opening their doors to sell coffee and cakes to help in the fight against cancer.

Fenland District Council offices in March will be serving coffee in Fenland Hall tomorrow from 9.30am while estate agents Harrison Murray are supporting the event from 10am to 2pm.

Friday is the main fundraiser with a host of events, which are listed below.

Medics, volunteers and friends of the Macmillan and Hudson Day Centre at North Cambridgeshire Hospital will be hosting a coffee morning from 10.15am to 11.30am.

Volunteers will be selling a host of treats in Parson Drove Church Hall from 10am to 3.30pm. Ellis, Winters & Co, in Market Hill, Chatteris, will be hosting a coffee morning from 10am to noon.

Leverington Village Hall will be serving tea and cakes, along with running a raffle, between 10am and 12.30pm.

Bob and Shirley Bell are hosting a coffee morning in Murrow Village Hall from 10am to noon when a host of fun is on offer, including a raffle and tombola.

Janet Greenall and Joanna Johnson are running an event at 67 High Street, Gorefield, from 10am to 1pm.

VIP Hair in Walsoken is also holding a fundraising coffee morning with a host of stalls from 9am to noon.

Staff at Co-operative Travel, which is based in the Wisbech Beales department store in Church Terrace, will run a coffee morning from 10am.

Giraffe, in Cromwell Road, Wisbech, is also supporting the event from 10am while the Cobblestones, in March, is serving coffee from 11am.

Stacey’s in Norwalde Street, March, is running a coffee morning from 10.30am while the Wheel Centre, in the town’s Robingoodfellows Lane, is open from 7.30am.

The Baby and Toddler Group in Doddington will also be raising money during an event at 14 High Street, Doddington, from 10am.

T Payne & Co will be serving coffee and cake from 10am at their premises in High Street, Chatteris.

And Tamar Nurseries, in School Road, Walton Highway, are also getting into the spirit of things on Saturday from 8.30am.
