Young musicians from around Fenland are being invited to take part in a day of musical activity at Trinity College in Cambridge.

On Saturday, February 14, the Trinity College Music Society is holding an Outreach Day for local musicians where young players attend Trinity for the afternoon and prepare a short concert, playing alongside student mentors who will be there to give coaching and encouragement.

Jack Butterworth, artistic director for the society, said: “Hopefully it will be a really fun event, and a good opportunity for gown to interact with town!”

The event is free and is for youngsters aged eight to 14. It starts at 1.30pm with a concert due to follow at 3.30pm.

Full details of the event are available on the society’s website www.tcms.org.uk/concerts/come-and-play/
