Council officers want Fenland residents to take part in a consultation assessing the assisted transport needs of vulnerable adults.

Cambridgeshire County Council has drafted a policy for providing adult social care transport to help assessors decide if it can be provided as part of a care package.

But officers need to know how transport services are helping vulnerable adults maintain a healthy, independent life. They want to find out what works well and what, if anything, is missing.

The questionnaire asks people how they usually travel – their mode of travel and the reasons for their journeys. It also invites residents to indicate if they would be willing to pay for or contribute towards transport costs.

The consultation runs until March 12. The questionnaire can be found at: www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/site/custom_scripts/cons_details.aspx?ref=240
