Youngsters from six Fenland schools will be preparing to hit the high notes at an annual music event next week.

Schools Make Music, organised every year by Chatteris Rotary Club, is being held at the town’s Cromwell Community College on Tuesday.

College students will be joined at the event by pupils from Manea Community Primary, Benwick Primary, Lionel Walden Primary in Doddington and Glebelands and Kingsfield Primary Schools in Chatteris.

The theme for this year’s event is musicals, and parents have been invited along to see their talented youngsters in action.

Rotary member Roger Peacock said: “All the schools come together for an evening of music and singing.

“It’s a really entertaining get-together.”
