Firefighters tackle large field blaze in Tydd St Giles

Firefighters spent more than three hours tackling a large field blaze in Tydd St Giles on Tuesday.

Crews from Wisbech, March, Dogsthorpe, Spalding and Long Sutton, along with misting unit from Burwell, were called to the incident at Middle Broad Drove at 1.11pm.

They arrived to find a large fire in a field and extinguished it. They returned to their stations by 5pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
