Chatteris firefighters tackle blaze in the town




Firefighters from Chatteris tackled a fire in the town on Monday afternoon.

The crew was called to Forty Foot Road, Swingbrow, at 6.36pm to a fire in the open.

They used small gear and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, and a digger was also used to assist.

The crew returned to its station by 9.30pm, and the area was inspected again the following morning.
