Firms deliver late Christmas gift to Meadowgate Academy in Wisbech




Three Fenland firms teamed up under the banner of Spanners & Sparks at their annual Christmas Party and raised £2,000 for Meadowgate Academy's new mini bus appeal.

The three companies were Alibulk of Wisbech, TAM Engineering Services of Leverington and Truckweld of Gorefield.

Representatives from two of the companies met with head teacher, Jackie McPherson and pupils of the school to present the cheque.
Jackie McPherson said she was very grateful for the support in raising the money to replace one of the school's mini buses.

The mini buses are vital to get the students out into the community.

The school is aiming to raise £16,000 for to buy a new minibus to replace one that is old and the current total stands at £12,000.
