Monday flood warning for Wisbech area

The Met Office has issued a Yellow rain warning for tomorrow (Monday), saying there is a chance of flooding and disruption.

Experts say that, after a mostly dry start, it will start to persistently rain around 2pm, with heavy rains between 4pm and 8pm, developing into thundery downpours from 9pm.

They say the rain may lead to a small chance of flooding and disruption, some homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings and there is a small chance of fast flowing or deep flood water causing danger to life.

Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services, spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

There is a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads and a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.
