Four people were hurt in an accident on the A141 bypass between Chatteris and March involving a lorry and three cars.
March businessman Zak Barakauskas was one of the first on the scene as he was travelling behind the vehicles heading from Chatteris to his Floor Shop Anglia Ltd business. He said two cars ended up in the ditch and he helped to rescue a young girl and man from one of the cars.
He said the emergency services were on the scene within a few minutes and that one of the drivers was more seriously hurt.
Police confirmed one person had serious but not life threatening injuries and that the injured were taken to Kings’ Lynn hospital. The vehicles involved were a black Peugeot 207, a black Ford Focus, a lorry and a grey Citroen Saxo.
Anyone who witnessed the accident should contact police on 101. The accident happened on Tuesday July 30 at around 11.15am.
