Residents of Chatteris and surrounding areas are invited to take part in a community activities event on Monday (August 5).
The event is being hosted by the Chatteris Residents Associations and supported by Roddons Housing Association, part of Circle Housing Group.
The “Bubbly Bugs Picnic” is being held at the Bricstan Rooms from 11am – 2pm and will be a chance to take part in fun family entertainment and find out about the good causes, support groups and different activities on offer from Roddons and the Chatteris Residents Association.
Jenny Hodson, managing director of Roddons Housing Association, said: “We’re supporting summer events like this because we know how important they are in bringing the community together. We hope to see everybody out enjoying the day, and hopefully the sunshine!”
Activities on offer include face painting, fancy dress competition (themed on bugs) and a free prize draw.
All monies raised will go to the Bubbly Bugs – a group for families of children with additional needs run by Ormiston (making Young lives better) at the Chatteris Children’s Centre.
Gill Smith, Chair of the Chatteris Association said: “After residents told us how much they enjoyed last year’s event, we decided to hold it again this summer. We really hope that everyone enjoys the day.”
