PLANS are underway at The Case in Horsefair, Wisbech to host a charity night in aid of Cancer Research UK on Thursday, August 18 from 8pm.
Already a host of entertainment and activity has been organised by Emma Cage, assistant manager at the Case, including raffles with prizes donated from local businesses; a performance from local artist Emma Small; the Case’s famous Rock N Roll Bingo – instead of ticking off numbers, you tick off the songs that are being played.
There will also be competitions including cracker eating which is harder than it sounds – the current world record is held by Tony Knox who ate three Jacob’s cream crackers without drinking in 45 seconds; and a ‘man auction’ complete with Tarzan outfits, which Emma hopes will raise the most.
Emma’s target is £500 and she is hoping people will give generously. Collection tins will be placed in the pub prior to the event.
