Gallery: Wisbech Remembrance Day 2021 sees return to tradition
Wisbech returned to a traditional Remembrance Sunday event after last year’s socially distanced one.
Representatives of the Armed Forces and cadet groups led a parade, which also included the civic party made up of the mayor Andrew Lynn and otherlocal councillors and dignitaries, from the Market Place to the War Memorial.
Hundreds of people then watched the service of remembrance at the War Memorial where a two minutes’ silence was observed at 11am, which was then followed by the laying of wreaths by representatives of dozens of local groups and organisations including the Royal British Legion.
The various representatives of the Armed Forces and the cadet groups then marched-off at the end of the remembrance event into the Market Place where there was an opportunity for members of the public to chat to them.
