GET ACTIVE: Get out and get active
How are you? Such an easy question to ask, but often a difficult one to answer truthfully.
How often do we just give the standard response “fine thanks, how are you?” when we are feeling anything but fine?
This last year has been filled with so many challenges and changes that this simple question has become more important than ever.
The chances are that your new year’s resolution has long been forgotten, and some old habits might have started creeping back in.
This is completely normal and not something that you should be giving yourself a hard time over.
Whether it has been remote working, home schooling or just the pressure of missing friends and family, our resolves have been tested to the limit.
But now is the time to start feeling optimistic. With the vaccine roll out progressing and the restriction guidelines starting to ease, it really is a time to get excited and start planning how you will come out of the enforced
hibernation and back out into the world.
One thing that has been brought into focus over this last year is that we value time with others, and that getting out and about with your family is a great way of staying fit and healthy.
But what is available, where can you find out about what is going on and, most important, will it be safe to take part?
Here at Active Fenland we have a range of activities to get you and your family exercising and having fun together.
No matter what your previous experience or fitness level, there will be something for you. The key is to find something that fits into your lifestyle and works with your daily routine.
Whether you enjoy walking, playing games or more structured sport, we are here to help you.
