Ale-lovers will be descending on Wisbech this weekend to enjoy a three-day beer festival.
Elgood’s is expecting to welcome crowds of people to its annual beer festival which kicks off tomorrow (Thursday).
The family-run regional brewer Elgood’s is hosting its popular beer festival in conjunction with SIBA East (Society of Independent Brewers).
Up to 150 beers from local East Anglian brewers will be available to sample, including Elgood’s new fruit and Lambic-style ales.
Live music will be provided by Dr Busker from 6.30pm on Thursday with three-piece Irish music band, Silvester Peat Cutter & the Twilight Boggers, taking to the stage from 4pm on Friday.
B’Wildered will be performing on Saturday from noon.
Barbecue food will be available. The event will be housed within the beautiful four-acre gardens of the brewery which incorporate specimen trees, herbaceous borders, a lake, rockery, water features, herb gardens and a maze.
A film crew will be attending to capture footage of a new type of reusable glass. Scenes from the beer festival will be include in a promotional video about the new glass that will be shown worldwide.
Marketing director Claire Simpson said: “This event is really popular with the community as they get a chance to meet the people behind the beer.
“Having the film crew here will be great fun as visitors will have the chance to star in a promotional video.”
