Keen runners Pat and Maura Brown have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
The couple, who live in March, celebrated their anniversary on Saturday and are hosting a party at the weekend to mark the occasion with friends.
Pat and Maura married in London on 20 July, 1963, after meeting through a football match. Pat played football for the factory team where Maura worked and she was asked to do the teas for the players.
He calls her his “yellow canary” as she wore a bright yellow coat when they first went out, and said they are still very happy together.
The couple moved to Fenland 44 years ago. They have two children, Anthony who works as a doctor in London and Sean who works in care in Colorado, America.
Pat is a plumber and Maura has worked in the care sector since 1975. They are both active members of March AC and still enjoy running. Pat has run several marathons over the years and the couple have both run many races, in the UK and abroad.
