THE Citizen Advice Bureau in Fenland has said goodbye to Norah Knowles, a volunteer adviser who has decided to call it a day after 33 years service with Fenland CAB.
Advice service manager of Fenland CAB Julie Smith said: “We are very grateful to Norah for all her hard work and dedication to the CAB and the community of Fenland and we wish her well in her retirement. Norah enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life and wanted to do something worthwhile, which she did for over 33 years!”
Interested in becoming a volunteer yourself? The CAB is always looking for new volunteers. In September the organisation will be running a new Gateway assessors course, which is an initial assessment for clients when they contact the CAB.
“We are currently looking for volunteers to start this six week course who will really make a difference within the local community,” a spokesperson said.
