Gallery: Gorefield Show attracts the crowds despite rain-soaked conditions
It might have been rain soaked by the 57th annual Gorefield Show still attracted the crowds and the competitors on Saturday.
Organisers posting on the show's Facebook page afterwards said: "Thank you to everyone that braved the cold wet windy day and came to Gorefield Show.
"We are very grateful for all the support shown. A great deal of work goes into planning and putting on such a marvellous day and it wouldn’t be possible without all the committee, helpers and local community support."
As usual the day included a wide programme of events from the heavy horse classes, the horse and pony competitions to the dog and duck show, the display of vintage tractors and another of classic and veteran vehicles and of course the grand parade.
Other attractions included side shows, trade stands and stalls, as well as swing boats and a barrel train. There was live music too from Jerry Clifton and refreshments and a bar. All proceeds from the day will go to charity.
