A Wimblington garden centre has undergone a major refit.

Skylark Garden Centre, which has a popular children’s farm attraction, is following on renovations to its cafe with a store refit.

The centre’s Edward Gowler said the cafe was doubled in size three years ago. He said: “The refit of the store will enable us to stock new ranges from homeware and gift to lighting and much more. The merchandise will be better displayed and new tills will reduce queuing time at the checkout.

“Inevitably there has been some disruption during the refurbishment and we’d like to thank our customers for their patience. We are already trading from the new-look store, with just a couple of product ranges still to be displayed, and are getting some very positive feedback from customers.” Fenland MP Steve Barclay will officially open the new-look store on Saturday, March 12, at 11am. There will free goody bags and a glass of bubbly for the first 100 customers and 10 per cent off during the launch weekend.
